We understand that the transition to life after school can feel overwhelming.
atWork Australia supports students and their families to prepare for the transition from school to further education or employment.
We connect with schools, local employers and the community to identify and fulfil students’ employment and career goals.
Who are the services for?
We assist students who may be eligible for, or already have, an NDIS plan to work out what future employment opportunities are available and what opportunities are right for them. SLES is available to NDIS participants from the age of 15 years and 9 months to 22 years.
We also work with employers to identify roles that suit students’ specific skills and goals.
What are the services?
With the assistance of a dedicated Employment Advisor, we provide career guidance, counselling and capacity building services to students to help them feel positive about their future.
Together we explore each student’s strengths and build their confidence to get them ready for life beyond school. We work one-on-one with students to create a personalised plan, tailored to each student’s needs. Support may include training and mentoring, identifying skills and interests, resume preparation, finding work experience opportunities, interview skills training, and assistance to find and maintain meaningful employment.
If you or someone you know is of school leaving age and eligible for NDIS support, we can help.
