The atWork Australia team in Brisbane, Queensland, is working with Fruit2Work to connect our clients with lived experience of the justice system to employment opportunities. With the goal of supporting their integration back into the community.

“They do not judge anyone’s background. They are fully supportive in giving people a chance to rebuild their life by working and earning money to build their future.”
The roles involve delivering fruit to workplaces. Not only does the role build the confidence of our clients but also gives them the much-needed experience to move into other employment opportunities in the future.
“Fruit2Work reached out to atWork Australia to engage with our clients, and to see if we had anyone who would be the right fit for the work they offer,” said Monika.
“We will continue to work with them as they hope to give even more people employment opportunities as they grow their footprint in Queensland.”
One of our clients was working hard to improve his future, having signed up to complete a Certificate III in Health and Community Services but was unable to finish the course as a police check was required for the placement.
Fruit2Work was able to show him that there are employers out there willing to give people the chance they need to thrive.
