What started as an invitation to atWork Australia’s First Steps to Success event, ended in a collaboration to support a growing workforce.
GreenSteam Australia has been providing Non-Chemical Weed control solutions to Perth and Western Australian clients since 2008.
They first connected with atWork Australia and attended the First Steps to Success event, where they were introduced to a pool of local, job-ready candidates.
During the event, they were able to meet clients, learn about their skills, and discuss their workforce needs.
“After attending the event, we saw firsthand the quality of candidates and the personalised support the atWork Australia team provides,” said Ben, Environmental Technician with GreenSteam.
Ben then worked with atWork Australia Employer Engagement Consultant, Kiah to place the right candidate.
“Inspired by the opportunity to fill their workforce while making a positive community impact, they partnered with atWork Australia to progress a standout candidate who they met at First Steps to Success,” said Employer Engagement Consultant, Kiah.
atWork Australia Client, Chris, attended the event and was interested in the role at GreenSteam.
“Throughout the process, their team has provided consistent communication, timely updates, and practical assistance through candidate sourcing, preparation, or post-placement support,” said Ben.
“Their involvement has helped streamline recruitment, reduce onboarding challenges, and ensure clients receive the guidance needed to settle in successfully to their roles.”
GreenSteam’s newest employee, Chris, has been excelling in his role. He was supported by atWork Australia to purchase work related clothing and the personal protective equipment he needed to start his new role.
“Access to pre-screened candidates reduces the time and cost in the recruitment process. And they help with required tickets and personal protective equipment,” said Ben.
