Ahead of your first appointment, we kindly ask you to:

Link your myGov account to Workforce Australia. View a step by step guide here.

Prepare by having photo identification or a form of proof of identity ready to go.

Share with us if you are currently undertaking activities such as working, studying, voluntary work etc. If you have information about what you are participating in, bring it along.

Have a copy of your resume ready to bring. If you don’t have one, we have a template to get you started here. Not sure what to include on your resume? No problem! We can help you in your initial engagement period.

Did you know?

You are welcome to bring a support person, family member, a carer or an advocate along to your appointments, should you wish.

If you are transferring in from another provider, you are able to ask a representative from your previous provider to attend your first appointment with us for a Warm Handover. If you wish for them to attend, please provide them with your appointment details. In the Warm Handover, this will help with continuity of support for you to achieve your employment goals.

What to expect at your first appointment?

Your first meeting provides the opportunity to meet with your Job Coach who will be supporting you on your journey.

At your first appointment we will get to know you, gain an understanding of your unique situation, strengths, abilities, and discuss your employment goal. From there, we will co-design a plan that takes into account your individual situation, focuses on your needs, and sets achievable employment goals. We will discuss how tailored support can be provided to help you progress towards your journey to meaningful employment.

We will also discuss information relating to the following documents:
