Sasha has been a Job Coach with atWork Australia for two years. She has a talent for knowing her employers and clients and can identify the right fit for long term sustainable employment.
Something Sasha enjoys about her role is using her previous experience in hospitality, retail, sales, and banking, to support her clients find a job they love.
She also enjoys make up, everything to do with food and shark movies.
“I have watched and re-watched every Shark movie there is,” said Sasha.
“I also can speak fluent in three different languages.”
By speaking to clients in their language Sasha can help even more of atWork Australia’s diverse range of clients.
Sasha believes her biggest accomplishment so far in her career is her clients and their success.
“My clients, their success stories, and be able to make changes in people’s lives is my greatest accomplishment.”
Here are just a few of those stories:
A new client was visiting Sasha for his very first appointment with atWork Australia. A stay-at-home dad, whose children were grown, he was ready to return to work. It just happened, that at the time of his appointment there was a key employer visiting the atWork Australia site running an information session on current roles they had available. Sasha asked if he would be interested in the role, and he was.
Within no time he was enrolled into a traffic management course, had his white card, and had started work with his new employer. And he’s now been working with them for a year.
He said, “The team have been super supportive, super-efficient and really cared about my future.”
Another client had worked as a correctional officer for 23 years. He wanted to change careers but wasn’t sure where to start. After getting to know the client, she organised for him to meet an employer she thought would be a good fit. He was offered a job on the spot and still works there today.
