Physical Disabilities and Conditions We Can Support

Physical disability can affect people in different ways. Your Job Coach will work with you to understand how your disability or health condition affects your employment goals and the support you may need to thrive in the workplace.

Finding work with chronic pain – persistent or ongoing pain that lasts for months or longer – may require flexibility around duties, hours or the workplace environment. Your Job Coach will help you explore suitable roles and practical adjustments.

Restricted mobility may influence how you move around a workplace or complete certain tasks. Your Job Coach will help identify accessible roles and practical adjustments suited to your circumstances.

A spinal cord injury may change mobility, strength or endurance. Your Job Coach will support you to explore accessible workplaces, suitable roles and equipment that helps you work confidently.

Workplace access, layout and facilities may be important when choosing a role. Your Job Coach will help identify accessible opportunities and practical workplace adjustments.

Limb difference or amputation may alter how some tasks are performed. Your Job Coach will help you explore suitable roles, assistive technology and workplace solutions.

Cerebral palsy may influence movement, coordination, communication or energy levels. Your Job Coach will tailor support around your strengths, preferences and workplace needs.

Sensory and other disabilities

Hearing impairment may create communication barriers during recruitment or at work. Your Job Coach will help arrange accessible processes, communication tools and appropriate workplace adjustments.

Vision impairment may change how you access information, technology or workplace environments. Your Job Coach will help explore suitable roles, assistive technology and accessible workplace options.

Other conditions may shape the type of work or support that suits you. Personalised assistance will help you prepare for, find and maintain meaningful employment.
