Ray has big plans for his future. However, he was in a position in his life where he needed a little bit of support to get back on track.

Ray wanted to try something different and decided to work whilst setting up his own business.
He needed to learn about running his own business and was supported enrolling in a Certificate II in business. The team in Northam also helped him gain his unique student identifier to sign up for the course.
He was also enrolled in a responsible service of alcohol ticket (RSA) to gain work in hospitality while he studied and set up his business.
Due to Ray’s personality, he ended up being head hunted by two hospitality employers.
“The employers appreciated his personality and could see the drive he possessed,” said Tanika.
Ray began work and is now on his way to becoming a manager. The atWork Australia team supported Ray to gain his approved managers certificate to help him on his way.
He is also now studying a Certificate in horticulture for his own business goals.
“Over the last three months, I have not seen Ray without a smile on his face,” said Tanika.
“He is well on his way to achieving those big goals.”

“In the short amount of time I’ve been employed, I’ve undertaken my managers course and I’m being fast tracked to a full-time position.”
