Workforce Australia client, Sadaf is a mother to three young daughters. She had experienced domestic violence and was rebuilding her life.
Sadaf had not worked for the past ten years.
She was connected to the atWork Australia office in Chester Hill, and met Job Coach, Jyoti.
When Sadaf had been working, she was in the medical industry and had enjoyed the work. She thought she might like to head towards work as a Pathology Collector.
For the first appointments Jyoti encouraged Sadaf to go for her goals and created a supportive environment.
Sadaf was connected to atWork Australia’s in house Wellness Services team for additional support with her mental health.
Jyoti then enrolled her into a first aid course as the first step on her journey to employment.
“I discussed different career options with her and helped her upskill by enrolling her in a first aid course,” said Jyoti.
Sadaf started attending her appointments with new hope and motivation and has started attending interviews for a Pathology Collector role.
“Although she is still looking for a job, her hope is strong,” said Jyoti.“With the support of the atWork Australia team, she is confident she will find work soon on her journey to employment.”
Sadaf believes atWork Australia has helped her tremendously on her recovery journey, especially through Wellness Services.
“I am truly grateful for the incredible support I received from my Job Coach, Jyoti,” said Sadaf.
“She guided me with care, connected me to valuable courses, and helped me explore the right career options.”
“atWork Australia’s ongoing encouragement and personalised advice has made a real difference in my journey,” said Sadaf.
