When Dionisis started working with Job Coach, May, he had low confidence.
Dionisis was finding it hard to land employment and felt discrimination due to his age of over 60.
“He has been having trouble getting employment and is extremely sad,” said May.
“He was not in a good state of mind. This also affected his personal appearance. Having little money, he could not afford groceries.”
May and atWork Australia supported Dionisis with a grocery voucher and a new phone so that he could apply for work.

With motivation and encouragement from May, Dionisis felt more confident in himself to start presenting himself to employers.
He was supported with transport assistance to travel to job interviews.
Soon, Dionisis then interviewed for a position as a Jolly Santa, however, for the role, he needed a copy of his birth certificate to gain a working with children check.
“He said he was stressed and would have given up without our help obtaining his birth certificate,” said May.
