“One day I woke up realising that I can create this new change,” said Kenneth.
When Kenneth first started with atWork Australia his motivation was low. He wasn’t interested in Job Searching and only participated when his mutual obligations required him to.
Kenneth was living with alcohol addiction which was also impacting his ability to look for work.
Kenneth was connected with Job Coach, Viviana, who continued to remain a positive presence and source of motivation. Viviana focused on preparing Kenneth for work when he was ready.
He participated in Jobs for the Mob and a course in RF scanning.
With continual motivation and pre-employment training, Kenneth’s motivation began to grow.
“Kenneth expressed he has never met a Job Coach that persistently reminds him to be positive and to believe in the potential he has within,” said Job Coach Viviana,
“His journey reminds us that no matter the life challenges, if we have that one person who empowers and believes in us, we can have hope to face difficulties.”
Kenneth is working on his alcohol addiction and now has a goal to become the confident person he used to be when he managed a team of 25 in his warehousing roles.
Last week, he made big progress by meeting with our employer engagement team to take the next step to start being referred to employment.
“Kenneth feels happy there is hope and he feels good that no matter the state he is in, in his life, we are right there besides him to empower and support him,” said Viviana.
“Thank you to my Job Coach for always reminding me to see the good in life,” said Kenneth.
