Workforce Australia client, Reham, was ready to return to work after ten years. She was juggling time between home life with her child, housing instability, completing her university study and a relationship breakdown.

Reham needed guidance and structure to support her to return to work and find a balance among all her competing priorities.

She shared with Job Coach, Helen, that her goal was to work, while continuing to study.

“As her Job Coach, I actively listened to her industry preferences and referred her to a Customer Service Representative role with Datacom. It was a mix of both administration and customer service, which was exactly what she was looking for,” said Helen.

Helen referred Reham to Employment Engagement Consultant, Peter, who screened her for the position which had flexible hours that suited Reham’s work life study balance.

Reham was then invited to participate in an employer information session where she was well presented, well-mannered and friendly.

Reham successfully landed the role in a call centre. She was helped to purchase new work clothes and assisted with transport to get to work those first few weeks.

“She is happy to be working at a job that’s close to home and where she can provide for her son,” said Helen.

“Reham has always shown consistency with me as her Job Coach, but this role has positively impacted her confidence and motivation,” said Reham.
