Will has been searching for employment for the past three years. After connecting with atWork Australia, Will landed employment he is thriving in.
Will met with Job Coach, Barton, at the Bayside atWork Australia office. Barton encouraged and coached Will towards employment. He supported Will to learn how to job search, how to have a standout resume and provided tips on how to interview.
After participating in these pre-employment activities, Will was ready for work.
atWork Australia then connected Will to an inclusive employer who was a good fit for Will, and who would be able to support Will’s overall employment goal which is to learn new things.
Barton was by Will’s side for support during his online interview. Knowing he had support beside him, helped Will feel his most confident self and he shined during his interview.
“Will started work in March and said he enjoys working in the city centre,” said Job Coach, Barton.
“He is enjoying the supportive and fun work culture.”
Will has been made to feel welcome in his new place of employment. He is learning new things in a supportive environment.
“Will enjoys learning and is currently learning Canva at work which he enjoys,” said Barton.
“He is settling in well at his new place of employment, and using his additional income to support his hobby of reading books.”
Will’s parents are very happy he has secured work with an above award wage. He is now being supported by our In-Work Support team as he settles into his new role.
“Will has been a pleasure to work with. We look forward to seeing him thrive in a great workplace,” said Barton.
