Jayden’s story is truly a positive one. He has gone from someone who had never worked before to a person who is now happy and thriving in his role.

Sydney provided tailored support to Jayden centred around his specific needs. Jayden had extreme anxiety about starting work, had low self-confidence, and transport barriers.
Sydney focused on supporting Jayden to connect to an inclusive and supportive employer, who would be patient with Jayden. “What truly meant the most to me was when
Sydney first referred me to a job opportunity. At that moment, I was terrified to take that step. I even asked to speak in a private office and
came prepared with a speech to explain how uncomfortable I felt,” said Jayden.
“I wasn’t sure if Sydney would be understanding, but she was. Sydney genuinely listened to me and respected what I was saying. Her support meant everything to me, and it motivated me to live up to the expectations she had for me.”
Sydney then supported Jayden with all the job requirements, such as arranging his police check, providing appropriate work clothes, and supplying fuel vouchers which had a significant positive impact on his readiness and confidence for employment.
“The Narre Warren office always makes me feel welcome and comfortable, and they have even offered to help me discover my passion. I truly appreciate the ongoing encouragement I receive,” said Jayden.
“I’m incredibly happy because I had a goal, and I was able to achieve it.”
Jayden is now a valued member of the A&B Automotive team who said that “once he got the hang of it, he was away”.
