
Shontell had a goal to pursue employment in the automotive and mechanical industry. However, she had never worked in the industry before and was unsure how to get her foot in the door.

Job Coach, Nehima, also connected Shontell to a Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology. Through this course, Shontell participated in a work placement with a mechanical service employer.
This placement further strengthened her industry skills and confidence.

Right after this placement, Shontell successfully gained her driver’s licence.
Her confidence was high as she made good progress towards her goal.
She began to apply for roles and soon landed an interview for a component technician.

Shontell successfully landed the role achieving a milestone moment on her journey to her long-term career goals.
