Alfredo was already employed when he first connected with atWork Australia, and Job Coach, Mikayla.
He was employed on a casual basis as a sales assistant but was receiving inconsistent, and minimal hours.

Alfredo was limited to opportunities within bike riding or public transport distance. atWork Australia is also supporting him to gain his learners driving permit so he could build up to greater opportunities in the future.
He was also supported with safety equipment to make biking to work safer, and public transport top ups when wet weather made it unsafe to bike ride.
Alfredo shared with Mikayla that he was enjoying the type of work he was doing, however just wanted stable hours. So, Mikayla started walking to nearby retails to see if anyone was hiring.
She walked into the local Liquorland, and advocated for Alfredo, leaving them a copy of his resume. They asked him to come in for an interview, and he landed a part-time role.
This meant regular, consistent hours for Alfredo, and also a supportive work environment with an employer who was invested in his success.
