Michele lives with hearing loss. She had been out of work for 15 years looking after her children, but now they were older, she was ready to return to work.
Michele was hesitant at first that she would find employment after being out of work for so long, and how she would manage with her barriers.

“Michele is able to work on her own focusing on completing the rooms that are assigned to her in an environment that is suitable as there are no loud noises which can affect her condition,” said Sarah.
Michele started work in 2024, and is now being supported by InWork Support Coach, Melissa to maintain her employment.
Having someone by her side as she moved into employment after 15 years was the peace of mind Michele needed to thrive.
“Melissa has been very supportive, and I am happy that I can ask for support when I need it,” said Michele.

“Michele was so grateful for her new glasses and stated that it really does help her do her job better as she can now see details to make sure everything is spotless,” said Melissa.
Having a job has made such a difference in Michele’s life as she is able to provide for her kids, recently purchasing her daughter a formal dress. She is now saving for a car.
“It is inspiring to see Michele working hard and feeling so happy and fulfilled in her role. It is a true pleasure to support her throughout her work journey,” said Melissa.
