Lizeth smiles in front of a bunch of flowers. Quote reads "My answer about what I love about my role is and always will be the ability to walk with my clients and assist them on their journeys of empowering themselves. I love seeing resilience and hope in my clients,” said Lizeth, Job Coach
Originally from Colombia, Lizeth has been living in Australia since 2014. From her experience of being a non-English speaking immigrant to Australia, she believes everyone deserves an opportunity to try, to learn, to grow and to start again if they need to.

Everyday Job Coach Lizeth from our Mirrabooka atWork Australia office walks alongside her clients on their journey to employment and to self-empowerment.

Lizeth started with atWork Australia over a year ago, she began as a receptionist but quickly became a Job Coach.

“I believe that everyone in this world deserves an opportunity to try, to learn, to grow and to start again if they need it. I also believe that opportunities have the potential to change our lives, and that there is hope in each of us.”

“atWork Australia has given me the space and the tools to assist people in changing their lives. My answer about what I love about my role is and always will be the ability to walk with my clients and assist them on their journeys of empowering themselves. I love seeing resilience and hope in my clients,” said Lizeth.

She met client Lacey* who moved to Australia under a humanitarian visa after escaping from an unsafe country at war. Lacey was determined to improve her quality of life and worked hard to reach a good level of English so she could start to apply for jobs. Her lack of experience meant she was often declined an interview.

Lizeth worked with Lacey to improve her confidence; she shared her own story to help maintain Lacey’s determination. Regardless of the multiple rejections Lacey was receiving, Lizeth continued to encourage and support her, never doubting her ability and potential.

When a housekeeping role became available at a local hotel, Lizeth supported Lacey to prepare for the interview and practiced standard responses in English, to improve her confidence.

Since her first day Lacey has shown commitment and dedication to her job, something her employer really values. They consider Lacey a great asset to the team.

Lizeth’s determination to find the right fit for Lacey is supporting both client and employer to thrive.
