Joanne lives with mental health conditions. She first met Casey over the phone as she could not leave the house. After a while, through consistent engagement and support, she was able to leave her house and meet with Casey in person at the atWork Australia office.

After working with Joanne for some time, Casey was able to organise an interview for her at a local family-owned boat trimming company.
The company was very supportive and was a perfect fit for Joanne who already had some experience in boat trimming.
The company said they are excited for Joanne to join the team.

Once she landed the job, we supported Joanne as her advocate to help negotiate hours and days to suit her health condition.
“Joanne always tells me that she has never felt so supported and understood and could not thank me enough for the time, effort, and patience I have had with her in her journey,” said Casey.
“I am in complete adoration for Joanne’s sheer determination and perseverance in finding suitable, sustainable employment.”
