Workforce Australia client, Eliza, began her journey with atWork Australia in the middle of 2022.
Eliza is a single mother, and lives with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, which make finding the right employment difficult.
She started working with Job Coach Deepak at the Port Adelaide office with her self-confidence at a low.
“I could see that encouragement could empower Eliza to improve her self-confidence, create some goals, and begin to actively pursue job opportunities again,” said Deepak.
Together, they created a plan to look at a holistic approach to supporting Eliza to feel work ready again.
Eliza was referred into our Wellness Services to work on her health and wellbeing. While Deepak and Eliza looked at her resume and types of roles she might be suited to.
“Eliza’s journey is a testament to the commitment of atWork Australia in providing holistic support to individuals. Eliza gained the tools and resources necessary to conquer the daunting task of re-entering the workforce,” said Deepak.
While Eliza was preparing to re-enter the workforce, she found the Points Based Activation System to be an intuitive and easy to use process, using her points flexibly and reporting through the mobile app.
As Eliza’s self-confidence grew, she began to apply for roles and was successful in a part time cleaning role.
atWork Australia’s support meant that Eliza had a reliable partner by her side throughout her employment search.
“The culmination of Eliza’s efforts and the support she received from atWork Australia, is reflected in her successful job placement,” said Deepak.
“Securing employment not only provides her with financial stability but also boosts her sense of accomplishment. Her resilience in overcoming multiple challenges has been inspiring.”
