Subhashree has only recently moved to Australia in the past few years. She was looking for a role for almost a year when she was connected with atWork Australia’s Disability Employment Services in Ryde, NSW.
Subhashree explained to her Job Coach, David, that she was looking for a role where she could use her skills obtained overseas in her previous Human Resources role; such as people skills, communication and working with computers.
She also needed a role with flexible hours as she was the primary carer of her children.
David introduced Subhashree to Employer Engagement Consultant, Roger, who talked her through some of the types of work and job prospects which might suit her.
“We were able to use Subhashree’s transferable skills to market her to an employer, Konica Minolta. We also needed to balance this with her caring responsibilities at home,” said Roger.
“Subhashree has now been working for Konica Minolta as a Client Services Officer for almost a year in a sustainable and meaningful role.”
