During these challenging and uncertain times, it’s more important than ever to recognise and acknowledge the amazing work that people within the disability sector achieve every day, in supporting people with disability reach their goals.
In 2020, atWork Australia have proudly nominated four of our WA Disability Employment Services team members as part of three award submissions for the WA Disability Support Awards. All of our valued nominees demonstrate excellence, passion, vision and commitment to supporting people with disability, injury or health condition, and have made a real difference in their clients’ lives.
atWork Australia’s Nominees for the 2020 WA Disability Support Awards are:
- Excellence in Improving Employment Opportunities – DES North Metro EEC team (Trish Medwin, Nikita Davis & Zack Hanbali)
- Excellence in Leadership – Robyn Frost, Regional Manager
- Excellence in Regional Support – Robyn Frost, Regional Manager
National Disability Services (NDS), in partnership with the Department of Communities, established the WA Disability Support Awards to recognise and reward people who go beyond ordinary standards of service and provide the highest standard of individualised support to increase the quality of life and inclusion of people with disability in Western Australia.
Unfortunately this year, the National Disability Services had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 WA Disability Support Awards Gala Dinner due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The award finalists and winners will be announced on the Disability Support Awards Facebook page from the 22nd until the 28th of June.
