Wandee has a positive demeanor and great outlook on everything. I knew employers would want to work with her should they meet her,” said Job Coach Filda.

Workforce Australia client, Wandee, had moved to Western Australia from Thailand and was still searching for meaningful and sustainable employment.

She met Job Coach Filda, at the atWork Australia office in Mount Hawthorn looking for further support to find work.

Wandee has always been very committed to upskilling herself through education and was enthusiastic about finding work.

“Wandee was doing everything she could to find work. She was taking English classes to improve her language skills,” said Filda.

Filda coached Wandee on improving her confidence to find employment and when she felt Wandee was ready, she referred her to our First Steps to Success event. This event brings together employers ready to hire, community support services and training organisations to further support clients into work.

Filda was confident that when employers met Wandee face to face they would be excited to work with her.

“Wandee has a positive demeanor and great outlook on everything. I knew employers would want to work with her should they meet her,” said Filda.

Through attendance and networking at the First Steps to Success event, Wandee landed a role as a house cleaner.

atWork Australia supported her to purchase the items she would need to start her role including personal protective equipment.

Wandee was so excited to start work, and the atWork Australia team is looking forward to continuing to support Wandee through In-Work Support.
