atWork Australia has been helping people with disability, mental health conditions, illness or injury find and keep jobs for over 15 years. As of 1 July 2018, the company grew its presence to over 185 locations nationwide. As part of this expansion they are now able to assist jobseekers with disability in Bunbury, Collie, Busselton, Albany, Manjimup and Katanning.
Claire Kavanagh, WA State Manager of atWork Australia’s Disability Employment Services (DES) said “We are all very excited to be working with so many new organisations and employers in the area. Although new to the Southern region, atWork Australia has a very strong presence in the Perth Metro area and over the last five years our 17 offices in WA have been rated the best performing DES provider through the star rating system.”
“We have assisted hundreds of people with disability in our community to find employment, along the way supporting them with many other aspects of life, be it mental health, financial and developing new skills and connections. Ultimately, we have connected them to a new and improved lifestyle through the power of work. We are thrilled to now be able to deliver the same quality of service to people with disability in South West WA.”
“I strongly believe that there is a job out there for everyone. Everyone has abilities that allow them to contribute to a workplace and our Job Coaches will assist with helping these jobseekers to gain the right job for them.”
Claire further noted that “atWork Australia is also able to tap into a network of employers based on local connections and via its parent group, the Work Health Group. Many of these employers are ready to work with atWork Australia to welcome new employees to their businesses. There are jobs here in South West that are ready to be filled, we just need more locals to fill them.”
To celebrate the arrival of atWork Australia in the South West region, an opening event took place at the Bunbury Office on 9 August 2018, attended by local businesses, senior atWork Australia staff from the new locations and the Honourable Mayor of Bunbury, Gary Brennan, officially opened the new office.
