Kane, 25, from Narangba in QLD, suffered the dreadful loss of his mum which had a profound effect on his life and led to deep depression. A severe shoulder injury, depression and withdrawal made it impossible for Kane to work or feel ready to look for employment.
Kane contacted atWork Australia for assistance with getting him back into the workforce and in general getting his life back on track. With support and motivation from his Job Coach Luke, Kane found his way.
atWork Australia’s Morayfield site enrolled Kane into Certificate III in Logistics with the aim to better understand himself and give him some direction for his future. This course allowed Kane the time he needed to grieve the loss of his Mum and the recovery from his injured shoulder. Kane fully completed the course and gained his qualifications. Once Kane completed his course, Luke immediately assisted him in finding employment within the warehousing industry. To improve Kane’s employability, he also completed his forklift license.
Kane was looking forward to utilising his newly learned skills after completing his studies, and was looking for employment with the aim of improving his life.
His Job Coach was able to secure him employment in a local warehouse. Kane was over the moon when he found out about this opportunity and expressed his gratitude to Luke.
