Nicholas moved to Invermay, Tasmania in search of a fresh start. Nicholas had made some poor choices in the past which resulted in him having an extensive criminal background.
By moving to Invermay, Nicholas was hoping to turn his life around. However, Nicholas had been unemployed for eighteen months and had also lost his licence, which was further impacting his ability to find employment. As time passed, his motivation continued to fade.

Nicholas was introduced to his Job Coach, Siah, who could immediately sense his lack of motivation. To boost his motivation and increase his employability skills, Siah supported Nicholas to complete his Traffic Management course and his Forklift ticket. Despite gaining these new qualifications, Nicholas continued to be unmotivated. He thought no employer would want to hire him because of his background.

One day, Siah’s colleague received a phone call from a local furniture removalist company, they were looking to hire a new team member. Siah immediately thought of Nicholas and put him forward for the position. Initially, the employer only required someone for a few days here and there. However, since Nicholas started, he has been working nearly every day.
The team at the Invermay office are so proud of the progress Nicholas has made. He has gone from being unmotivated to extremely motivated. He regularly pops into the office to thank his Job Coach for all the support and for not giving up on him.
