When Justin started with atWork Australia in Wollongong, NSW he was facing financial difficulties.
Job Coach Jaime understood finding a job was a priority for Justin. She also connected him to support services including our Wellness Services who supported Justin with his anxiety.
Justin had good experience, he had previously worked in retail and construction, and he was also studying horticulture. He wanted a secure position, more than anything, to support him to be financially stable.
With limited financial resources, Justin was concerned he wouldn’t be able to make it to job interviews
So, when he successfully gained an interview with the local Bunnings, he was concerned about how he could afford to even attend the interview.
With only one day notice of his interview, Job Coach, Jaime, quickly took action organising a fuel card for Justin so he could attend the interview.
He visited the Wollongong office, right after his interview excited to be successful.
“It’s unlikely I would have been able to attend my interview if atWork Australia didn’t organise the funding assistance for transport that same day,” said Justin.
“This job will help me get on top of my finances – it’s come at a perfect time for me.”
While Justin started as casual, he is now working full time in the role.
