Saliba is a 55-year-old culturally and linguistically diverse client of atWork Australia’s Broadmeadows office in Victoria.
With an undisputable drive to achieving his goals of gaining sustainable employment, despite the physical barriers that he lives with, Saliba worked closely with atWork Australia staff to determine what job was possible that would not exacerbate his health concerns.
Having not had much work experience in Australia, Saliba worried about finding the ideal job. Saliba’s Job Coach, Ann, determined that the best way forward for Saliba was to gain certificates that would increase the chances of finding work.
Saliba worked to improve his health condition whilst engaging with atWork Australia. He felt that he wasn’t ready to make any intensive effort to find work until his health had improved. And it time, it did.
Job Coach Ann ensured that Saliba had his Police and Working With Children checks and, once secured, Ann began advocating him to employers on his behalf until Saliba got a job as an Individual Support Worker at Mary Care Pty. Ltd.

Saliba was extremely glad when he first heard that he was accepted into the job and reportedly thanked Job Coach Ann profusely.
