Jaden, 30, from Clyde, Victoria was referred to atWork Australia through sister company, IPAR. Jaden was on Work Cover and was eager to get back into employment as a delivery or truck driver.
Jaden has been living with a mental health condition that was caused by his depreciating physical abilities caused by his lower back workplace injury.
Since working with IPAR and connecting with atWork Australia, Jaden was optimistic about gaining employment, however, as he had been out of work for three years, he needed additional support to source suitable options and opportunities in the industry. Jaden’s IPAR Job Placement Consultant, Junko, arranged for Jaden to obtain his HR Truck License.
Jaden was connected with his Job Coach, Maria; building rapport quickly during their first registration appointment. Maria and Jaden set to work quickly by preparing a tailored plan and roadmap to help Jaden achieve his goals. Maria and Jaden discussed careers, locations, suitability for different roles and kept in contact regularly.
Maria reached out to Employment Engagement Consultant, Martina, to help find the right employer for Jaden.
By taking the time to get to know Jaden’s experience and more about him, Maria was able to provide practical support while he completed the Centrelink process.
Maria took Jaden through every step of the process and what it involved, always seeking confirmation that he was happy with the process and felt valued by contributing to the journey.
Jaden was interviewed and got the job as a Delivery Driver.
Jaden was ecstatic and happy when he found out he had gained employment. He was relieved that his past didn’t affect him gaining employment.
