Workforce Australia client, Jennett, is feeling positive about her future and journey to employment.
After being connected with Job Coach, Anna, and the atWork Australia team from Beaconsfield in Tasmania, Jennett feels supported enough to try something new.
Jennett lives with anxiety and mental health conditions; she found it overwhelming to leave her home alone.
She was referred to atWork Australia’s Wellness Services for support from a qualified phycologist for tailored support to help improve her overall health and wellbeing.
She was also referred into our Positivum program, a tool used to help personalise the support provided to Jennett.
Everyone’s journey is different, and Positivum looked at Jennett’s beliefs and perceptions to work and provided tailored coaching to support a more positive mindset.
While Jennett was completing these programs, she continued to be supported by Anna who spoke to her about her goals.
“Jennett highly praised the Positivum program and felt she took away a lot of valuable information from this,” said Job Coach Anna.
“Jennett is very creative, always making something so we talked about ideas which would allow her to focus on this creative side.”
After all the support provided by atWork Australia, Jennett felt confident enough to start her own business.
Job Coach, Anna, then assisted Jennett into an external Self Employment Assistance Program which focusses on small business training and business plan assistance.
“I feel like a new person with a positive outlook on life,” said Jennett.
“I am looking forward to seeing Jennett progress from the course to starting her own business,”
Jennett will continue to be supported by atWork Australia while she works to get her business started. She plans to sell children’s sensory items like playdough, slimes and more.
