After recently moving to South Australia, Workforce Australia client, Savanna* entered the atWork Australia office in Nuriootpa ready to start her first job in the state.
In her first appointment with Job Coach, Amanda, 27-year-old Savanna got to know the local atWork Australia team and learnt about the services we could provide to ensure she would progress towards a job she loves.
In these conversations, the Jobs for the Mob program was mentioned as a course that could be beneficial to her, and her journey. She expressed an interest in the program, so she was enrolled, and began to attend the program with Pre-Employment Trainer, Emma.
“Despite it being very early days for Savanna, I was able to use the program to advise her of what paths and avenues were open to her and help her consider what her next steps could be,” said Emma.
This program proved to be a great first steppingstone for Savanna. She then mentioned to Amanda she was interested in working in the cleaning industry. After hearing this news, Amanda and Savanna worked together to enroll Savanna within a Certificate III in Cleaning Operations.
Amanda adds, “She is greatly enjoying the course, and as a result is completing it in record time.”
Savanna is currently completing this program, with her completion date nearing, her excitement to enter the cleaning industry is building.
