At the time of entering the office in Springwood, New South Wales, the 32-year-old had been out of the workforce for two years. He was unmotivated, had no recent skills or workforce experience, which made finding a new position, difficult.
In his first appointment with Job Coach, Dave, the pair discussed different industries suited to Kane’s skills and that he would enjoy. They wanted to make his next position sustainable for him.
“I referred him to the Launch into Work Project, which has provided him with a Qualification and full-time employment as a CNC machinist,” said Dave.
“We also provided transport (Opal Card) assistance, personal protective equipment and continued with ongoing support and encouragement.”
Kane also actively participated in our in-house Wellness Services. This enabled him to chat with a professional about his mental health in preparation to enter the workforce.
