Victorian local Felicia is the latest employee of Live In Spirit, North Coburg.
Managing Director of Live In Spirit, Kylie approached atWork Australia as she was looking to expand her team and knew atWork Australia could provide the right support.
Live in Spirt is a supplier of candles, diffusers, room fragrances and also a location where people can learn the art of candlemaking and how to start a small candlemaking business on your own.
atWork Australia’s Employment Engagement Consultant Nicole guided Kylie through how atWork Australia can support Live In Spirit through finding new employees and accessing additional support once clients are placed.
Kylie was excited to build a relationship with atWork Australia, Live In Spirit are an inclusive business, so hiring atWork Australia clients living with disability is something Kylie wants to continue to do.
As soon as Kylie was ready to hire her first atWork Australia client, Nicole shared the vacancy with the atWork Australia offices in Calder and Plenty.
With some great candidates pre-screened, Nicole informed Kylie that she had people ready to interview.
Kylie was impressed with the quality of candidates and resumes provided by Nicole, and Live In Spirt was able to hire one client.
The client, Felicia hired by Kylie, lives with a mental health condition and has previous experience in warehousing, retail, store management and factory outlets, making this an excellent match for Live In Spirit.
Felicia is now working four days per week and has been an excellent addition to the team.
