Not-for-profit organisation, Cancer Wellness Support, receives the support they need to support cancer patients in the community.
Cancer Wellness Support has been providing subsidised therapies for their clients going through cancer treatments. In the past year, they have subsidised over 5060 therapies, with the help of atWork Australia and the Work for the Dole activity.
The store works similarly to an op shop, and all money that goes through the store, goes through to the cancer centre.
Store Manager, Gail, states, “I have had the pleasure of working with atWork Australia Activations Consultant, Maria, for the past five years.”

Gail and the Cancer Wellness Support team provide essential support to our clients, providing comprehensive training where needed and offer a welcoming working environment for everyone, no matter their history.
The clients value their job and their contribution in the community, as much as Gail values them. She has noticed a difference in their attitudes from the start of their journey.
