Simon (48) was referred to atWork Australia through Centrelink. Simon has been unemployed for 28 years and was keen to get back into the workforce.
Simon experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury due to a car accident 28 years ago and faced challenges when looking for work such as difficulty remembering. He spent several years in rehabilitation and hospital appointments.

When Emma told Simon about the job, he: “Was very excited and couldn’t stop smiling. He said he felt great!”
Simon says: “All I needed was someone to give me a chance. I am lucky to have Centrelink, atWork Australia and my new employer just do that. I will work for the first time in 28 years.”
