When Workforce Australia client, Simon, started working with atWork Australia in Hindmarsh, South Australia, he was already working.
Simon was a Butcher but was working in a toxic work environment with very few hours.
He expressed to his Job Coach, Anjana, that he had no belief in himself, or his ability to find another employer.
Anjana spent time with Simon and worked with him to build up his self-belief and motivation. She became his personal cheerleader, someone who believed in him and was there to support him.
“Simon was having a tough time. He was unwell, had some family things going on at home, and to add to that his unstable working environment was adding to his stress,” said Anjana.

Over time, with Anjana and the team in his corner, Simon was feeling more confident that he could change his circumstances.
He found a new part time role as a Butcher, with more hours, and with an inclusive employer.

Having a new secure role, also improved his family life.
