atWork Australia were able to step in and quickly assist a small business owner in Coniston, NSW, with their recruitment needs.
Albert is the owner of MMK Construction, he placed an advert looking for six construction labourers, which caught the eye of atWork Australia’s Employer Engagement Consultant, Sandra. Sandra noticed the advertisement and thought it would be a great opportunity for her clients. She immediately reached out to Albert to introduce herself and how atWork Australia could support him with his recruitment needs.
Sandra was eager to share the vacancies with the entire Disability Employment Service team in her area. With the support of her colleague, Vicki, both began pre-screening their clients to identify suitable candidates for the positions. Together, they were able to refer six atWork Australia clients to the vacancies. Albert, the owner of MMK Construction, was very impressed with all the candidates. Three have already commenced work and the other three are on stand-by, waiting for the employer to receive the builder’s approval to enter the work site.
Sandra and Vicki have recently visited the construction site to ensure it is a safe working environment for atWork Australia clients. They took this opportunity to see their clients in action and to thank the employer for providing these wonderful opportunities.
