With thanks to the tailored servicing from the atWork Australia team in Norlane, VIC, 39-year-old Wade, has made significant progress on his journey to sustainable employment after 4 years of being out of the workforce.
After a long 20 year career in the transport industry, Workforce Australia client, Wade was looking to make a pivot to a different industry. With his nerves high, he approached the atWork Australia team in Norlane for assistance.
Within Wade’s initial appointment with Job Coach, Sarah, the pair got to know each other. Sarah got to know more about Wade, his goals, his employment history, as well as his skills and interests.
“Off the back of his previous employment, Wade has been faced with mental health and financial issues. Wade made the decision to take some time off work to focus on these areas before he would consider returning to work.” Said Sarah.
With this information in mind, Sarah built out Wade’s job plan to cater all his concerns toward re-entering the workforce, in a brand-new industry.
This plan included attending our in-house Wellness Services and various training programs, including Money Minded and Employability Skills Training (EST).
“These services allowed Wade to realise his transferable skills, whilst also allowing him to meet his PBAS targets.” Said Sarah.
Wade enjoyed the flexibility of the PBAS system and found it easy to always meet his monthly targets.
“Wade has gone from feeling like they are stuck, to feeling confident to apply for new roles independently.” She adds.
“Wade no longer feels alone in his employment journey and knows he has the atWork Australia staff always in his corner to assist.”
