Workforce Australia client, Jade entered the atWork Australia office in Mount Hawthorn, WA with a casual job, but needed assistance boosting her hours to get her where she wants to be.
In the past, Jade has experienced housing instability. Due to this instability, having a full-time position was both comforting and important to her.
She loved her current position as a barista but was looking for full-time employment to be more financially stable.
Due to her limited work experience, motivation and knowledge on how to obtain preferable roles, she reached out to the team in Mount Hawthorn, WA, for support.
Within her initial consultation she was met with Job Coach, Tansy. The pair got to know each other and discussed Jade’s goals, interests, and employment history. Jade expressed that her dream job was to be an air hostess. So, Tansy and Jade put together a tailored job plan to get her there.
With support gaining first aid certification and Personal Protective Equipment from Tansy and the assistance from the Employer Engagement Consultant, Nicholas, Jade was more motivated to set goals and improve her employment situation and was looking forward to taking the next steps on her employment journey.
Nicholas and the team in Mount Hawthorn, worked on sourcing suitable positions for Jade. Jade was also doing some job searching of her own and with great success Jade found an air hostess position and was invited in by the employer for an interview.
Jade was successful in this interview and is currently undertaking training prior to starting later in early 2023.
She is loving the training and can not wait to start work soon.
