Indigenous client, David, had a goal for his employment when he started with atWork Australia’s Mirrabooka Workforce Australia team, he just needed help to get there.
Having recently been released from prison, David had goals and dreams to get back to fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) work. He was ready to turn his life around and had already contacted training agencies for the tickets he needed to get back into meaningful employment.
David was looking for a supportive Job Coach who would take action to help him achieve his goals.
His Job Coach jumped into action by organising and supporting David financially to complete his Skid Steer Loader ticket, Working at Heights ticket and Confined Spaces ticket.
They also worked together to help David gain his Certificate III in Surface and Extraction.

She continued, “David has attended every single appointment. We made sure we had his determination, attitude and reliability included in his resume.”
Once David had everything he needed, he started applying for FIFO work and has recently landed a new role.
